More warships join Russian armada in Mediterranean
The guard missile cruiser Moskva, the big landing ship Nikolai Filchenkov, and the guard ship Smetlivy will join the permanent operative junction of the Russian Navy in the Mediterranean on September 15-17, the press service and information department of the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
"The guard missile cruiser Moskva passed through the Strait of Gibraltar on September 10 and is now heading to the eastern Mediterranean, where it will meet with the ships making up the permanent operative junction. The cruiser is expected to arrive in the area on September 17," the department said.
